The 2020 Ford Bronco

April 16, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

After years of teasing, Ford’s President of the Americas Joe Hinrichs and Vice President of Global Development confirmed the Bronco’s comeback last year. One of the most famous, (or infamous) Ford Broncos are for sale currently: OJ Simpson’s. For those of you that are looking for a Ford Bronco that is less famous, trust no dealership other than Lamarque Ford. If you are still interested in purchasing the white Ford Bronco that Mr. Simpson once drove, here are the details.

This Bronco may have led police on one of the wildest police chases in history. Mike Gilbert happens to own this Ford Bronco and thinks that he can get between $750,000 to One million. The SUV is currently sitting in the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Last August, the famous Bronco has been showcased on Pawn Stars on The History Channel. On the show, customers present their stuff at a Las Vegas pawn shop and discuss a price with the owners and decide whether to sell. A previous offer of $500,000 was made for the Bronco, but the owner Mike Gilbert says that he wants to sell it for much more and give the money to his kids.

For those of you who want a Bronco in general, there are many reasons why the Bronco is still a sought out SUV. Ford made sure the Bronco was versatile, offering it in three configurations: a pickup, wagon, and roadster. All three modes rode on a 92-inch wheelbase. The Bronco was specifically engineered to handle a higher payload.

Many Ford experts believe that nostalgia alone has kept the Ford Bronco in people’s minds and have helped the fan base highly anticipate the new 2020 Ford Bronco. If you are looking for a Ford in Louisiana, Lamarque Ford stays unmatched in knowledge, expertise, and helpfulness. Come to Lamarque Ford and see why we are the best Ford Dealership around!

Lamarque Makes it Easier for You To Buy

March 29, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

Lamarque Ford is your favorite used truck dealer, and they are in high demand in the spring. With all the gardening, landscaping, and other projects: there’s no denying that Ford Trucks are the most powerful tool in your arsenal. Here at Lamarque Ford, we’ve revolutionized the way that you buy, trade and finance.

WebBuy is the first end-to-end car-buying experience available online, and it fully connects consumers, lenders, and dealerships all-in-one app. The car buying game has changed, and you no longer have to plan an entire day to go from car dealership to dealership, haggling over the price you want to pay for your new car, how much you should get for your old one, and how you’re going to finance the purchase.

In a recent study, results show that most consumers aren’t fans of the standard car dealership experience. In fact, three quarters said that if given the opportunity, they would consider making their entire car-buying process online, including financing, price negotiation, back-office paperwork and home delivery.

The most important factors that shoppers say swayed their decision to make their purchase online rather than in-store are: saving money, easier shopping, a better selection, and faster shopping experience. The fifth most popular factor was equally divided, with one in five shoppers saying they chose online because they get better information there, and the same number saying it was because they are routinely shopping there already. At Lamarque Ford, we pride ourselves on offering the same exceptional experience inside and outside of our dealership.

At the forefront of adaptation, Lamarque Ford knows that a substantial portion of shoppers are no avoiding dealerships because they can buy cars on their smartphone. Our selection of used vehicles at Lamarque Ford can be sold on any platform because as always, Ford is reliable, durable, and built Ford Tough.

If you are looking for a new or used vehicle, Lamarque Ford has a wide selection for you to choose from. With WebBuy you can browse our selection from the comfort of your own home without even stepping foot in our dealership.

The Most Popular Classic Ford Pickup Trucks

March 15, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

Here in the US, we still love pickup trucks for their versatility, durability, and strength. Ford enthusiasts around the world have a particular love for classic pickup trucks, and when it comes to pickup trucks, it is not a secret that Ford is king. Here are the three most popular classic Ford trucks.

1956 Ford F-100
This unique pickup truck was the first and last of its kind and combined elegance with performance. These trucks were built by hand from front to back and made out of steel. It featured interior amenities such as a dome light, sun visors, and a radio. The body style was what made this truck unique by featuring slick vertical windshield pillars and a wrap around the windshield. Ford offered a larger wraparound back window, which increased visibility for the driver. Also, this is the first Ford pickup truck that offered seat belts as an option.

1951 Ford Pickup
There aren’t many trucks that had such spacious interior. The truck was also much higher and wider than any Ford pickup to date. To produce this truck, Ford paid one million dollars to design and equip it. The front end was vastly different on this truck, featuring a single-bar grille with three giant teeth which gave this truck its distinctive look. The original colors of this truck were: Vermillion, meadow green, raven black, Silverstone gray, Sheridan blue, alpine blue, and sea island green.

1959 F-250 4×4
Some could argue these styles signaled the birth of the monster truck era. This truck featured impeccable drivelines, axles, and suspension. This truck for me was a close call with the 1967 Ford highboy. The headlights set the look of this truck apart from the rest but also made the parts harder to find. This truck is also famous, being featured in movies such as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre III and Nightmare on Elm Street IV.

Lamarque Ford doesn’t just sell Fords: we love them. With a wide selection of used trucks, you don’t have to break your budget to find a truck that can do any job. Trust the used truck dealer and experts at Lamarque Ford to find you the best deal on a Ford truck today! You won’t regret it.

Truck Enthusiasts Rejoice!

February 28, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

A few years ago, it seemed that everyone was trading in their SUVs and trucks for smaller, more efficient cars. Now, trucks are more popular than ever, especially in Louisiana. Lamarque Ford is your destination truck dealer here in Louisiana. Although we know that Ford trucks are the best option, it’s still best to know why! Here are the reasons why a truck is the most practical automobile purchase.

Trucks Motivate You
Not only does a truck drive much better on all sorts of terrain, but people are using their truck to go on excursions and seeking weekend adventures. Whether it’s an exorbitant amount of camping gear, three full-grown dogs, an inflatable boat with an outboard motor, or just a lot of equipment: a truck can handle it.

Trucks are Roomy
People who haven’t ridden in a modern truck are always surprised by how large they are inside. That means more room for passengers, your furry friends, and more.

Trucks are Fast
Long gone are the days of only thinking that sports cars go fast. In addition to acceleration, the big engines and luxurious cabins make cruising all day at high speed as easy as it would be in a high-dollar grand tourer like a Bentley or Aston Martin.

Pickups are Fuel Efficient
Although a smaller car might be more fuel efficient sometimes, a truck can be just as good. When hauling or moving, a truck can pass easier and complete the job in one load whereas passenger cars would have to take multiple trips. If you start throwing tacks, bikes and other equipment on a passenger car to catch up with a truck’s capacity: you’ll see its fuel economy plummet.

Pickups are Safe
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has found that a heavier vehicle will typically push a lighter one backward during the impact. As a result, there is less force on the occupants of the heavier vehicle and more on those in the lighter vehicle. Sitting up high, with an excellent field of view, a pickup’s driver is also able to see over most traffic. This increased vision will help identify potential accidents sooner and react with more time than passenger car driver, whose vision is hindered by other vehicles.

If you are in the market for a pre-owned or new truck, Lamarque Ford has the best selection and a highly experienced and professional staff to help you find the truck of your dreams. Come in today to see why we are number one!

A Healthy Car is a Happy Car

February 15, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

If you have your car checked regularly, you could save yourself from experiencing terrible incidents and prevent the possibility of you being frustrated and save you money. There are several car steps that you should take to keep your car in excellent health. Here are seven reasons why regular car maintenance is important.

It’s Safe

No matter how great your drive, you’re still at risk for getting into an accident if your vehicle isn’t running properly. Accidents can happen when you have faulty brakes, clouded headlights, worn windshield wipers and tires, a buildup in our exhaust or a leaky gas tank.

It’s good for the environment

Vehicles emit dangerous fumes like carbon dioxide and automotive fluids into the air and water. Maintaining your car helps save the environment and prevents it from getting worse.

It looks better

You’ve invested a lot of money and time into your car, and you should want to keep it like new. Taking good care of your vehicle will prevent faded paint, rusty spots, dents and bubbling tint from making your car look old and used.

It’s cheaper

You can save money from having to make costly repairs, especially if you drive a luxury vehicle that requires special car parts and accessories.

It’s reliable

There’s nothing worse than having your vehicle break down in the middle of a road trip with friends in your car. Things like a broken radiator, bad tires or an engine failure are not things that can be fixed on the side of the road. Our recommendation is to get your vehicle checked before going on a long adventure.

It sells faster

The value of your vehicle will depend on how well you take care of it. With competitive rates to buy a new vehicle, keep your vehicle in excellent condition. Most used car buyers value a vehicle’s condition over the make and model.

It performs better

Your mechanic will check your vehicle’s fluid levels, oil and parts to make sure your vehicle is performing at its best.

Having a reliable vehicle makes life easier, especially with a Ford. Properly taken care of Ford can go to 300,000-mile marks. Lamarque Ford’s service department makes it super easy to schedule services through our website. Keep your vehicle on the road safely and confidently for a long time to come to the dealership with the best deals: Lamarque Ford.

Fords in The Movies

January 31, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

With the cold weather repeatedly sweeping through New Orleans, it’s the perfect time for Hot Chocolate, cuddling up in a blanket and watching movies. Many movies and TV programs have made a certain model of car famous. It’s difficult to think about The Dukes of Hazzard without thinking about the 1969 Dodge Charger. Ford cars have become quite popular movie stars over the years. Here are six famous Fords that you may recognize.

1962 Ford Anglia – Harry Potter

The iconic scene in Harry Potter where Ron and Harry are flying in the air is none other than a Ford. This iconic British Ford was produced from 1939-1967 and was introduced right around the time that England declared war on Germany. Despite the car having no engine, this car was stolen in 2006 from the film studio lot but was later found dumped at Carn Brae Castle in Cornwall.

1984 Ford Econoline – Dumb and Dumber

The legendary Mutt Cuts dog on wheels truck was a great disguise for a classic Ford: the 1984 Ford Econoline. This model of the van has been one of the most prolific fleet vehicles in North America and was produced from 1961 to 2012 in both the U.S and Canada. A variation of the Econoline van is the classic Canadian “short bus.”

1973 Torino – The Big Lebowski

In The Big Lebowski, this car was not glamorous at all. In between getting stolen, damaged and finally destroyed: it might not have been the best representation of such a great vehicle. The Torino was manufactured from 1962 to 1970 and appeared on TV in the popular show Starsky and Hutch as well as the 2008 film Gran Torino. The Big Lebowski required two Torinos, and one was passed on to be used in an episode of The X-Files.

1982 LTD Country Squire- National Lampoon’s Vacation

It was the perfect vehicle for a family going through hilarious struggles and adventures, and that’s why it carried the Griswolds across the country on their road trip to Wally World. The Country Squire was manufactured from 1951 to 1991 with George Barris, creator of the original Batmobile, getting credit for its design.

1973 Ford Falcon XBGT Coupe – Mad Max

The Mad Max car, also known as The Interceptor, is famous for blazing through the post-apocalyptic wasteland in the 1979 film that introduced Mel Gibson to the world. This was only available in Australia and was given extensive modifications for the film. The original Falcon as sold off for scrap, but instead of making it to the scrapyard, it was bought by a fan and restored to movie condition.

Ford 1948 – Grease

This car is automatic, systematic, HYDROMATIC and of course, a Ford. Greased Lightning is an iconic car that was chopped up, painted and fully hot-rodded. The 1948 Ford was one of the very few cars being produced by Ford in the time after WWII. It retailed for about $800, and the original Ford was sold in 2011 to an automobile museum in Illinois after its owner passed away in the process of having it restored.

There’s a reason why Fords are so popular in the movies. In addition to being the safest on the road, strong, and dependable: Fords just looks dazzling. If you are looking for a Ford Dealer and live in the Kenner, Metairie, or Greater New Orleans area: Lamarque Ford wants to help you look like a movie star today!

Different Power-Strokes for Different Folks

January 16, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

If you want to know why truck enthusiasts love diesels, look no further than the newly-released specs for the 2018 Ford F-150 Power Stroke diesel: 440 lb-ft of torque, an 11,400-pound towing capacity, a 2,020-pound payload rating, and an estimated 30 MPG on the highway. Those are fantastic numbers. The thing about pickup trucks, they aren’t known for great fuel economy. They’re big, heavy, usually boxy, and ride high off the ground on big tires. Lately, the truck industry has seen major improvements lately when it comes to the efficiency aspect of larger vehicles.

Spring 2018 marks the first time a diesel engine will be found under the hood of Ford’s F-150 full-size truck, with the inclusion of a newly-developed 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbocharged V6 diesel engine. For years, the Power Stroke name has been synonymous with the Super Duty lineup of heavy-duty pickup trucks Ford produces. The new 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbocharged V6 diesel engine found in 2018 F-150 models was developed by the same powertrain team as the Super Duty trucks, so it only makes sense for the factory to deliver a best-in-class 250 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft. of torque.

There are three versions of the new truck coming in 2018; Ford dealers will sell them in the price range of $51,080 to $60,200, depending on what model you choose and what additions you make to the truck to enhance its power on the road. Ford will begin taking orders for the 2018 F-150 with the Power Stroke V6 diesel engine beginning this month, and deliveries set to begin this spring. If you want to browse a selection of trucks before then, come on down to Lamarque Ford. We would be happy to help you find the right truck for you!
