Millennials: The Resurgence of The Ford SUV

May 31, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

When it comes to shopping for a new car, millennials are looking at the Ford SUV! The car market is always changing. Ford released a statement earlier this year that they will be doing away with many of their passenger car models such as the Taurus and Focus. This doesn’t signal an end to cars in Ford’s lineup, but there will be a final push on SUVs.

Ford’s CEO promises that they will still have a fantastic passenger car lineup, they won’t be traditional sedans. This new frontier for Ford will push more vehicles such as the Escape, one of Ford’s most popular SUVs. Since the Escape still has excellent fuel economy, it will be seen as a car.

A lot of the common changes in the car market have everything to do with millennials being the majority of the market. They aren’t buying cars anywhere near the percentage rates of previous generations, and fewer young adults even bother to get driver’s licenses. Automakers everywhere are trying to win over this demographic.

Ford has been a very successful company with appealing to millennials. In fact, in 2012, Ford lept to number one. Ford appeals to millennials because of their tech features and a lineup of vehicles and price points that appeal to their needs. From 2008 to 2013, more millennials became interested in crossovers and SUVs, and fewer wanted small cars. This is because millennials are starting families at the same time that Ford is updating their lineup.

Ford is also remaining so successful because of their focus on women. Among car buyers, less than 4 in 10 purchases were made by women, and among millennials 53% of buyers are female. In this day and age, women are not just homemakers anymore. Women require the capacity for mountain bikes and gear just like the male demographic and are seeking out SUVs. Ford’s eagerness to please their customers has not gone unnoticed. The Wall Street Journal just reported on Ford’s recent efforts to win over female customers through their programs like Live.Drive.Love: a program inviting women to take Ford cars on 24-hour test drives.

Here at Lamarque Ford, we want to have the best lineup for our customers no matter what age. If you are looking for a vehicle to fit your needs and lifestyle, we have the perfect car for you.

Ford: Ideal for Summer Road Trips and More!

May 15, 2018 By Matthew Hritz Leave a Comment

Ahhh Summer. It’s the time for cookouts, relaxing by the pool and road trips. Growing numbers of families are answering the call of the road by embarking on adventures in RVs built on Ford chassis. Ford is America’s best-selling motorhome chassis manufacturer.

Road tripping is an experience. It’s about all the fun breaks, the pranks, the landscapes, the chats: everything. People enjoy road trips because they don’t worry about things that were in the past and that are waiting down the road. It’s about the moment! It’s about you! It’s about everything and nothing!

The U.S RV market is on the rise, with total shipments up 15 percent year-over-year at the end end of 2016. In addition, this industry provides 290,000 U.S jobs and has a $49.7 billion annual impact on country’s economy.

The biggest sales increase is coming from the smallest motorhomes. The Ford Transit is outfitted with sleeping and living areas and they are in demand. Motorhomes are not just fun for road trips, but millennials are taking advantage of ditching monthly rent or high mortgages to hit the road.

The Millennial population is a growing digital nomad population. With rising use of technology and working remotely, millennials crave a constant change of scenery while they work from their computer.

When it comes to motorhomes, Ford is the best in the business. Outdoor adventure-seeking RV customers want compact, maneuverable motorhomes that can comfortably carry their families and gear from one adventure to another. The Ford Transit’s efficiency, comfortable ride, and affordability make it a great choice as a motorhome for these outdoor enthusiasts.

Whether it be for a family road trip, a nomadic lifestyle, or just because, trust none other than Lamarque Ford for your purchase.
